Beth C. Wright Transportation and Lodging Assistance Program

Do you travel to Ellsworth, Brewer, Portland, Boston or beyond for Cancer Treatment?

Do you need help with travel or a place to stay?

We can help!

It’s a long drive for some cancer patients in Hancock and Washington Counties who must travel from 40 to over 100 miles or much more, one way to receive cancer treatment.

The Beth C. Wright Cancer Resource Center has received a grant from the Maine Cancer Foundation to pay for transportation & lodging costs for cancer patients traveling to receive treatment. Patients and their caregivers will be reimbursed for gas, other forms of travel and hotel rooms.

Cancer patients in Hancock and Washington counties must travel long distances to get to the major treatment Center in Brewer. They also may travel to Portland or Boston to get treatment that may not be offered in Brewer.

The Beth Wright Center’s Transportation & Lodging Financial Assistance Program is made possible by the generous support of the Maine Cancer Foundation. Learn more about this program and other free programs for cancer patients, their families and loved ones by calling the Center.

Call the Center at 207-664-0339 or email [email protected] to request an application or to get more information.
