What Now? Finding Your Way When Cancer Treatment Ends
A Beth C. Wright Cancer Resource Center / Dempsey Center Collaborative Virtual Program, September 6, 5 to 6:30 pm.
When cancer treatment ends the impact of cancer can often continue. Those who are post-cancer treatment or are preparing to finish treatment will learn techniques for coping with the new physical and emotional reality of their post-treatment cancer journey. On September 6, 5 pm to 6:30 pm join us online to learn the importance of eating well, identify how movement and fitness can care for your body and mind, and explore how complementary therapies can improve your well-being. This workshop will be held virtually and will be led by Maureen Higgins, MSW of the Dempsey Center.
During all stages of living with a cancer diagnosis, finding support and connecting with those who understand adds another layer of challenges, especially when living in a rural area. To help ease the journey through post-treatment for those living in Central Maine, the Dempsey Center has partnered with Beth C. Wright Cancer Resource Center to bring their services to Hancock and Washington Counties.
Clients of Beth C. Wright Cancer Resource Center will be able to access this program virtually from the comfort of their own home. This telecast class will allow access to a high-quality program and encourage connection between those who have been impacted by cancer. As with all Beth C. Wright Cancer Resource Center services, this telecast program will be provided at no cost. This program is possible thanks to the support of Jane’s Trust, a charitable foundation located in Boston, MA, and Hannaford Foundation.
