Understanding Lymphedema: A Beth C. Wright Cancer Resource Center – Dempsey Center virtual program

Lymphedema is a common side effect of many cancers and their treatments, causing pain and discomfort for many patients. Fortunately, with support and self-care tools, lymphedema can be managed and, in some cases, treated.  Join us online Thursday, April 13, 1:00 to 2:00 pm when Nicole Langstaff, PT, MS, CLT of ReVital Cancer Rehabilitation discusses the basics of lymphedema: signs and symptoms, prevention, compression, exercise, and self-care strategies.

The Beth C. Wright Cancer Resource Center continues to collaborate with the Dempsey Center, a renowned provider of cancer support services in Lewiston and South Portland, Maine, to bring a selection of their holistic cancer support programs to rural downeast Maine.  This partnership is helping expand and complement the Beth C. Wright Cancer Resource Center’s educational programming for the people of Hancock and Washington Counties seeking information and connection with others during the cancer journey.
