Safe Harbor Cancer Support Group
January 24, 2023 @ 4:00 pm - 5:00 pmFree
Starting June 14, Beth C. Wright Cancer Resource Center’s Safe Harbor Cancer Support Group will have a new facilitator. Barbara Sinclair will be leading the virtual support group on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of each month, from 4 pm to 5 pm.
Barbara Sinclair Ph.D. is a retired clinical health psychologist who specialized in working with people impacted with chronic and life-threatening diseases. During her tenure she trained with Jon Kabat-Zinn in his ‘Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction Program’ from U. Mass. Med. Center. Barbara has also had a meditation practice since 1990.
Barbara will be replacing Janice Ronco, who has served as the group facilitator for the past 3 years, is leaving to spend more time with family. She has lent her guidance to the group members and newcomers with grace and understanding. We wish her well in her future endeavors.
Safe Harbor Cancer Support Group is a supportive, confidential gathering for people living with all phases of cancer. Coping with the challenges of cancer can be an isolating and overwhelming experience. Sharing feelings and sources of strength with others who have walked the same road, helps one feel supported, uplifted, and fosters hope.
This group is free and is open to those living with a cancer diagnosis. For more information or to receive the Zoom link for the virtual meetings, please call the Beth C. Wright Cancer Resource Center at 664-0339 or email: [email protected]
