The Beth C. Wright Cancer Resource Center offers several complementary therapies that can be described as energy work. One of these is Healing Touch provided by certified practitioner Jean McKillop.
Healing Touch helps to restore and balance energy that has been depleted due to stress, illness, injury, grief, medical conditions, surgery, or medical treatments such as chemotherapy and radiation.
Healing Touch is an energy medicine, recognized by the National Institute of Health’s National Center for Complementary and Integrative Health.
The client rests, fully clothed, in a calm, quiet, healing environment. Using light touch, practitioners of Healing Touch work with the client’s subtle energy fields around and within the body to support self-healing, promote inner peace, and enhance health-related quality of life.
Jean has been involved with Healing Touch since 2008 and has been volunteering to provide Healing Touch sessions for the past eight years at the Beth C. Wright Cancer Resource Center at no charge. For more information or to schedule an appointment with her please call the Center at 207-664-0339.
