Ellsworth–We are very happy to say that on June 16, people will be permitted to return for appointments with reflexologist June Atherton.
Appointments will be offered on the 3rd Tuesday and Wednesday of each month from 11 am – 2:45 pm to cancer patients, survivors, and their caregivers free of charge.
Reflexology is based on the idea that stimulating specific points on the feet and hands can improve the functioning of corresponding organs, glands, and other parts of the body. Reflexology reduces stress, improves circulation, and encourages relaxation throughout the body. This hands-on modality uses a thumb and finger-walking technique to apply pressure on the reflex points of feet and hands. It is an ancient practice that has developed over thousands of years. Treatments are done while seated.
