Re-emerging from the Pandemic with Intention, with Jen Harry
September 7 @ 5:00 pm - 6:30 pmFree
Moving into the fall with hopes that the pandemic will soon subside, the Beth C. Wright Cancer Resource Center presents “Re-emerging from the Pandemic with Intention” with Jen Harry on Zoom. Jen will lead this workshop showing how to emerge with intention, returning to post-pandemic life. She will show us how to decide what to bring forward and what to leave behind.
As restrictions are lifted, there is a big push to “return to normal”. The question is, did your pre-pandemic “normal” include a go, go, go mentality of overwhelming busyness, accompanied by lots of stress and anxiety, with little downtime for the things you love? And is that what you choose moving forward? This workshop offers a guided reflection on lessons learned during the pandemic and how to be intentional about re-emerging, rather than just rushing back to old habits. Learn some tools and tips to mindfully move on to post-pandemic life and create a “new normal” that really supports your entire well-being.
Jen Harry studied Psychology at Penn State as an undergraduate and has worked in the mental health field in various capacities over the past 20 years. She furthered her studies and certification in the Methods of Japanese Psychology, training in Mind-Body Techniques to reduce stress, and most recently, certification in Applied Positive Psychology (the science of human flourishing & optimal functioning) as well as a Resiliency Trainer. Jen currently leads two monthly sessions at the Beth C. Wright Cancer Resource Center: Tools for Well Being and Walk Your Way to Mindfulness. Also look for Jen leading Acadia Mindfulness Adventures on the hiking trails of Mount Desert Island.
