Making the Move to a Plant-Base Diet
A Beth C. Wright Cancer Resource Center – Dempsey Center virtual program
Are you considering a move to a plant-based diet? Moving away from animal-based foods can result in nutrient deficiencies, so it is important to learn about new sources of protein and other micronutrients to maintain your nutritional health. This two-part, online workshop with Kelly Falone, RDN, LD, of the Dempsey Center will look at different types of vegetarian diets and the benefits they offer to those with a cancer diagnosis and those looking to improve their health. Follow along as we demonstrate the preparation of plant-based items to get you started!
The Beth C. Wright Cancer Resource Center continues to collaborate with the Dempsey Center, a renowned provider of cancer support services in Lewiston and South Portland, Maine, to bring a selection of their holistic cancer support programs to rural downeast Maine. This partnership is helping expand and complement the Beth C. Wright Cancer Resource Center’s educational programming for the people of Hancock and Washington Counties seeking information and connection with others during the cancer journey.
This workshop is free and open to all. Join us on Zoom from home or access this program at the Beth Wright Cancer Resource Center.
