Chair Yoga is a gentle practice utilizing a seated position while practicing poses and stretches to achieve all the benefits of a traditional yoga practice. The slow movements and postures improve strength, flexibility, and alignment. Susan also includes a mindful meditation, focusing on the breath to bring peace of mind and a sense of well-being. This “mind and body practice” that is an excellent way to ease into exercising for anyone of any ability or age.
Susan Sassaman has been teaching yoga and dance for over 25 years. She is currently teaching Yoga for Cancer, Chair Yoga, Meditation and Tai Chi on Mount Desert Island.
