Ellsworth, Maine—As the Beth C. Wright Cancer Resource Center gears up for another busy year, the organization was recognized with a generous donation from the Bar Harbor Bank and Trust at the organizations February board meeting.
Jack Frost, the Vice President, Director of Community Giving, and his co-workers, Tim Tunney, and Chelsea Sawyer of Bar Harbor Bank and Trust presented the Beth Wright Center’s Board of Directors and Executive Director, Michael Reisman, with a check for $1,500.00. The donation designates the Bar Harbor Bank and Trust as a corporate sponsor for the Center. The funds will sponsor three of the organizations biggest events in 2019 – the Walk for Life (May) in Washington County, the Ride for Life (September) and the Downeast Living with Cancer Conference (November) in Hancock County.
Michael Reisman, Executive Director of the Beth C. Wright Cancer Resource Center explains, “Our mission is to offer hope, knowledge, and support to cancer patients, their families, and caregivers through all stages of the cancer journey in Hancock and Washington counties. Engaging community support to achieve this mission is one of our goals.”
